The Default Rule Is No Profit-Making Activity
Foreigners staying on a study status are, in principle, barred from profit-making activity. You can work only if you have received a part-time work permit (permission for activities outside your status) from the competent immigration office in advance.

International students (D-2) and language trainees (D-4-1) can apply for the part-time work permit online at Government24. The application requires a part-time work recommendation letter that your school has reviewed and signed.

Working Before the Permit Is Unauthorized
Part-time work is valid only after immigration approval is complete. Working ahead of time while the review is in progress counts as unauthorized work, and unauthorized work can lead to penalties for violating the Immigration Act.
Workplace and Duration
The permit lasts up to one year at a time, and you are limited to two workplaces. If you change your workplace, you must file a change report.
